Meetings

Meetings are held on the 4th Monday of every month. except around the Christmas Holidays when the December meeting is often canceled.

The meetings are held at Gander Mountain in the Lodge Meeting Room in the back of the store on the far left, at 7:00pm in the Lowes/Sam's Club/Michael's Plaza on Ulster Ave in Kingston, NY. Just South of the Route 209 overpass.

Depending on the amount of business discussed, the duration of an average monthly meeting is from an hour to an hour and a half. The annual meeting in February iduring which we discuss and vote in upcoming event we will support, can last a bit longer. Due to the location in a retail store which closes at 9:00 pm, however, no meeting can last longer than that.

Most day to day communication between members of the group is via the First Ulster Yahoo email list. Contact Dean Barnes, (TheTavernkeeper) to inquire about inclusion on that list. Membership on the First Ulster list is limited to members of the unit, and is a moderated list expressly for the discussion of subjects pertaining to business of the First Ulster Militia, reenactment information or discussion of subjects pertinent to the portrayal of our period.

Directions to Gander Mountain:

From the Saugerties area, proceed South on Rt. 9-W to Kingston, go past Adams Fairacre Farms & under the Rt. 209 bridge. At the next light, take a left & proceed up the hill. Take a left at the next light & go toward the far end of the building.

Gander Mountain is across the parking lot from Lowe’s (and behind Wal-Mart).

From the South, proceed north on 9-W ( Ulster Ave.), past the northern entrance to Hudson Valley Mall & turn right at the light just before the turn to the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge approach. Proceed as above.

From the West, take Rt. 209 to Kingston and get off at the Rt. 9-W South exit. The next stoplight will be the one described above.
